Xu Zhichao, Honored as Outstanding President of Guangdong Privately-funded Education Entities for 2025
On September 15, the Guangdong Association for Private Education announced the list of outstanding presidents/principals, teachers, and educators in Guangdong private educational institutions for 2025.
Xu Zhichao, Party Secretary of our university, was honored with the title of “Outstanding President of Guangdong Privately-funded Education Entities.” Additionally, seven faculty members from our university received honors: Yan Qiuju from School of Western Languages and Cultures, Gao Jie from School of Economics, Wang Tian from School of Management, and Hu Yi from School of Computer Science were named “Outstanding Teachers of Guangdong Privately-funded Education Entities.” Chi Shengnyu from School of Eastern Languages and Cultures, Weng Lin from School of Education, and Yang Deniu from School of Computer Science were recognized as “Outstanding Education Workers of Guangdong Privately-funded Education Entities.”

Japan Science Society and SCBC Collaborate on Book Donation
On September 17, Japan Science Society and our university reached an initial cooperation agreement on the “Japan-China Co-Creating the Future” book donation project. During the donation consultation meeting held at ouruniversity, both parties jointly determined the categories and number of the first batch of donated books. During the visit by a four-member delegation led by Executive Director Gu Wenjun of the Japan Science Society, in-depth discussions were held with Vice President Zhao Fuchun and heads of relevant departments at our university. Multiple areas of consensus were reached regarding library resource development, Sino-Japanese cultural exchange, and mechanisms for future collaboration.

New Semester Teaching Meeting Launches “432” Development Plan
On September 18, SCBC convened its new semester teaching work meeting in Academic Lecture Hall C202. Vice President Zeng Yongqiang proposed the construction of a new teaching ecosystem called the “432” Development Plan. This plan consists of 4 teaching tenets: personalization, digitalization, collaboration and internationalization; 3 transformations: transferring credits into learning competencies, class hours into learning time and teaching design into learning design; and 2 key focuses: course construction and subject development.
Heads of Teaching Quality Supervision and Evaluation Center and all teaching units attended the meeting to jointly plan new measures for enhancing teaching quality in the new semester.
